Gun control laws should be any more strict because it would be violating the Second Amendment and the right to bare arms to protect yourself against criminals. To begin with, taking away a citizens right to bare arms is a violation of the Second Amendment which clearly states, "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bare arms, shall not be infringed." Gun rights advocates need to understand that doing what's right isn't always going to feel comfortable. The American people should not have to live in fear every time they enter a public place, send their children to school, or sleep in their own beds at night, and this is ultimately the reason we need gun control.
